Information we use

Booking Tree uses personal information to provide its booking platform and manage its relationship with account holders. This includes account and contact details, business information, booking records, payment and subscription information, support correspondence and technical information about use of the service.

When you book with a business using Booking Tree, that business also uses your information to deliver its services. Please read its privacy information for details of that use.

Why we use your information

We use information to create and manage accounts, provide bookings and related features, administer payments, respond to support requests and protect the service. Depending on the purpose, we rely on performance of a contract, legal obligations, legitimate interests in operating and securing the platform, or your consent where required.

Account and service emails

We use your email address to send account verification and setup instructions, booking confirmations and reminders, billing notices, security alerts, support replies and important service or legal updates. These communications support delivery and administration of the service and are separate from marketing.

Marketing emails and your choices

We may use your name and email address to send Booking Tree news, feature announcements, offers, promotions and business tips where you have consented or applicable law otherwise allows it. Signing up or accepting our terms or this policy does not automatically give consent to marketing.

Where consent is required, we rely on your separate, voluntary opt-in. Where an existing-customer exception permits marketing without consent, we may rely on our legitimate interests to promote our own similar products or services, provided all applicable requirements are met. These include offering an opt-out when collecting your details and in every marketing email.

You can withdraw consent or object to direct marketing at any time, free of charge, using the unsubscribe option in a marketing email or by emailing support@bookingtree.io. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal. Necessary account, booking, billing and security emails may continue.

We may retain a minimal record of your opt-out so that we can honour it. A change to this policy does not override your preferences or provide consent to market to existing account holders.

Service providers and website technologies

Providing the platform involves providers of hosting, authentication, payment processing and email delivery. Information needed for those functions is processed through those services. Our website also uses Google Analytics and Meta Pixel for website measurement and advertising-related activity. Email marketing choices are separate from choices about website tracking.

Retention and your rights

We retain information for the purposes described here, including providing the service, keeping required business records, resolving disputes and respecting communication preferences. Retention depends on the type of information and applicable legal requirements.

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal information, and object to certain processing. You may also complain to your local data protection authority, including the UK Information Commissioner's Office where applicable.
